CuKoOO NEST 3

McMurphy  plans a fishing trip for himself and others from the ward. He says that his aunt is coming but he is lying and really two whores are coming. It didnt work out the way they wanted because one of them was married.  There was still Candy Starr. Candy Starr and McMurphy have a bit of a history and as she walks in the ward everyone hawked her because of how stunning she looked. McMurphy's plan is to boast all the guys in the wards confidence by planning this trip because the whore will surely take care of all their needs along the trip. I admire what he is trying to do because not only are these men all sick but he is as well. He could easily be trying to help himself but he is looking out for his men. If it wasnt for the men in the ward then Nurse Ratchad would be above McMurphy but the men respect both of them but from different ways.

CuKOOO NEST 2

Part 2 of this book had me boggled a little bit because of one person. McMurphy. He came out more in part 2 then in part 1. In part 1 he wasnt really showing how he really is where as he did in part 2. My reasoning behind this is because of the way he speaks and doesnt  care who says what to him no matter what the penalties could be. From doing this he does ass a little bit of questioning to the ward. By him acting like this and showing his action so strongly he has other patients flowing him and acting like him. McMurphy always can back his self up and any other patients complaint, this is why he is a threat to the ward.

KUKOOOOOO!!

For me One Flew Over the Kukoos Nest is a good read because my dad and sister both have read it. They encourage me a lot to read it so I really have no choice. I also believe that it is defintly a good choice of reading for the end of the year because its a fun books its not something boring and as serious as shakesphere. Its good to because we ALL can understand what it is about. Even though I havent read much I do plan on reading it and taking in many tips on life , well I expect to since everyone just has great things to say about it. Will see.

Hamlet Post 2

Well Im gona make this post about act 2 as much as possible. Lets see how much I can get down about this book. This part of the story seems to be about love. This is something that caught my eye because I like love because love = girls and I like them. Even though im not a fan of Shakesphere at all it does amaze me that he divides this play up into different parts and each part feels like it has a different emotion. To me it seems like Mr. Shakesphere does this a lot with his plays.

Hamlet Post 1

For me when it comes to reading like this I get very frusterated because it simply doesnt make sense to me at all. Like really who understands this stuff, the only people that do are people who are very gifted such as someone like Mr. Fiorini. Without spending class time on the text I would understand nothing about Hamlet. Even the movie doesnt help that much because its so drery and boring. My first step in organizing my information the Hamlet as I started reading it was to get the characters in order and seeing who is who. Once again after I did the this spending time on talking about the text in school helped explain whose who even better to what I understood. I just wish I could understand why Shakesphere has to be so difficult. Just a write a story in which everyone can understand it.

Hamlet

Since Ive started to read Hamlet I havent really understood much from the first two scenes. If it wasnt for what we done this week in class I wouldnt have any clue what was going on in the play. What we did this week in class is exactly what Id like to do with things I dot uderstand. Take Hamlet for example. We all got into gorups an took excerpts from the play and had to translate them into what todays people could understand and coprehend. Then not only did we translate the words we acted out to the class what I thought was more descreptive then ever because I got to see how the characters act in the play. I like this because I really couldnt get a feel for what kind of emotion they show as they read their parts in the play. The reasoning why I think im not too good at reading Hamlet is simply because when I dont understand a line or two I go to translate it and by the time I figure out what it really means I lose my whole thought about what was going on previously in the play. I dont see myself reading shasphere for fun in the future.

Kubla Khan

1.This poem was rather difficult  for me to read and I really didnt get the jist of it so Im just gona write about what I got from the poem. The only thing I really noticed from Coleridge was that they used visual imagery to describe what was going on through the poem such as when they were talking about the place to envision. This brought an image to my head about where and what they were looking at. Some other things that I thought about was the way the garden looked. This is really the only thing that held my attention because I had no idea what was going on throughout the poem. So without the visual imagery that he showed off to me I wouldnt of understood anything and just would of been reading words. If I was to write a complicated poem like Kubla Kahn I would also use visual imagery like Colridge to hold the readers attention especially for people like me.

2. The only thing I got from Ozymandias was that it was about a statue called Ozymandias and it was destroyed. This idea/topic was described by the people in poem, they also described how depressed this made everyone because of the love they had for the statue and because it really meant a lot to them. I couldnt figure out why this meant soo much to this people.

The Chimmney Sweeper

1.I agree with the editors of the textbook that Blakes writings both have the power to enact to the imagination to the reader. The Chimney Sweeper from The Songs of Innocence gave me more of a visual of what the poems were about because simply how it was written. Throughout the whole poem it explained what was going on and I didnt find myself lost one time. Where as when I read The Songs of Experience it really didnt tell me much or show me anything that caught my eye to understand the poem better then I already had from reading the The Songs of Innocence. Even though they both were from different points of views they did resemble each other. The Songs of Innocence was both happy and sad because they talk about the boys being out down to work like slaves then they have a dream about heaven and it brings happiness to the boys and it also made me feel not as bad for the boys. The Songs of Experience wasnt happy at all.

2.I think the Parliment transcript was put to show that kids working at a young age is a serious problem.( Child Labor Law). After everyone read these poems all of us as student should take into consideration how lucky we all are as kids that we never were worked like these boys and kids were worked. This just made it clear how tough these kids had it everyday and never got easier. If the Parliement transcript wasnt added Id been confused about the whole child labor law but still would have relized that these kids worked their tails off and it just wasnt fair back then.

Jonathan Swift Teacher PREP

A question that I am mainly focusing on isnt about what happens during the story but it has to do with the the main idea that I got out of it. My question is: do people really think before they act or speak. If you were confused onn your answer it should be NO. Now the reason why this question came across my mind was because through out the story there wasnt anything that crossed my mind that I didnt understand or if I didnt understand something it was minor. As I read the story I defintly couldnt predict the way Gulliver was going to act, put yourself in his shoes if that was me and knowing the way I am I would have went nuts when they let me slightley free think about your a big giant to these people, Id feel unstopable. This is when I started to actully learn something from reading this. When they let Gulliver up a little bit he thought about going crazy on the lilaputions but he looked at what he had in front of him and slowed his mind down and just settled with them. Even though settling with them wasnt really all that bad (actully it seemed really nice) he still showed that he considered and thought before he acted. Who knows if he didnt think before he went crazy then he might have been in a worst situation then he was and like I said the situation that he eventually put hisself in wasnt bad at all its very nice if ya asked me. Who wouldnt want a whole bunch of little people running around for ya and feeding you . As you can see its obvious what I'm going to focus on while I'm teaching my other teacher group. If you havent recognized I am goin to mostly stress about people in todays world thinking before they act. I will follow that up with some examples such as criminals walking around the streets with guns who kill people, if these people had a normal brain they would think before they pull that trigger. This clearly would slow down the crime rate all over the world. In conclusion I really had a strong focus while reading this story was happy with what I came out with wether it makes sense or it doesnt.

1984

O'Brien's passage is important in many ways with the story. 1984 was like a normal society except everything went just right. The party people ruled all, they had say over everyone. The only thing that really kept people on their heals about obeying these people was that they didn’t know what they would do to them if they didn’t listen to them. Everything was ran by oligarchical collectivism, this basically meant that the party people had told everyone what to and how to live in the society. Now when I started to realize what was really going on, I thought to myself, this proles/low class people are just letting these higher class/party people walk all over them and who knows they might not do anything if you stepped out of line. It was like the proles wanted to live their lives this way because they had no idea of any other way. Who knows maybe they could of chose a different way of living and not lived like a slave but then again maybe they had no choice. The whole fate part here really has my head boggled. This whole situation was really the only thing I understood from the book. Towards the end Winston starts to see himself living normal. But O'Brien put it in a way that Winston has to be able to understand who he really is in the real world and how to act. In my eyes this would be a pretty tough task for any human to do, take Shawshank Redemption for example. Its a jail movie and one of the very older guys gets released from jail after being in there for mostly his whole life and he hits the real world and is lost and dazed everyday. He gets his self a job an apt too occupy himself but nothing cuts it because he’s used to doing the same thing everyday in prison, the old man hangs himself and says enough is enough. So I totally agree with O'Brien here about Winston really understanding what he has to do when everything starts coming normal to him. For Winston to go through this the easiest way is he just has to take things has they come and deal with them, if he tries to fight little problems everything will pile up on someone like him and he wont know what to do with life and he will end up just like the old man I told you about. So more towards the end of the story he realized what needed to be done and totally took over him and loved Big Brother. He let society get into him, after that he was very comfortable with it. After all of that he stopped fighting them and joined with them. With this happening the society was able to become an oligarhical collectivism and this cause the people to only believe what the party believed was the truth. All the people in this crazy society were for it and no one put up a fight they all joined and supported theses words..... “War is peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is Strength” this is the slogan that the society was made around. To me this is where I started to get very confused because all these little people were happy that they were slaves basically and had no lives. They all agreed on just agreeing to just all be together and fight with the party people and not against. The reason why this boggles my mind is probably the same reason in anyone else mind. WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT SOMEONE ELSE RUNNING THEIR LIFE. I mean its your life for Christ sake. The only thing that I can think of is that, in today’s world there is none of this, there is no slavery or people running people for every beckon thing. But then again look at today’s world the crime rate is outrageous, maybe this is what really kept people in check in those times. In conclusion 1984 was a serious novel yet very confusing to me but I learned two things from it. One always fight first for something you want and if it cant workout then work through it. The second thing I learned is that I can get life lessons from reading novels that I don’t even understand......C'ya later 1984

Free Write Of 1984

What I got out of 1984 was mainly about the different types of classes there are and were back then. I really took this into my knowledge because I can relate to it from living with it everyday. In todays world that I live in there are still different social classes and it still goes pretty much the same way. The low class now a days is just different from the proles in one way. The proles had nothing, worked, and did the samething everyday and couldnt really change there lives for the better. Where as the low class now a days is different because some people dont even work, some work and do illegal jobs on the side, and basicly they all just try to get more then what they can have.
All people should really take this lesson into consideration because it can effect anyone in any social class. You should just take things how they are if you have a job and you have certain hours and certain pay, take them hours and pay until YOU earn a raise or get moved up. If people took this in more easily and accepted the fact that they can only have what there given at that time and have to earn more money perhaps. I believe if this was done then our world today would cut down heavily on the crime rate. This goes for everywhere in the world.
